Quantum Computing Researcher

Responsibilities:

• Investigate Quantum Linear Solvers and their impact to industrial use cases, including quantum resource estimates

• Collaborate with a team of experts from softwareQ and the National Research Council (NRC) Canada to advance quantum computing algorithms and technologies

• Contribute to the development of quantum programming languages and tools

• Engage in continuous learning and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in quantum computing

Minimal qualifications:

• MSc/PhD in Quantum Information, Computer Science, Math, Physics, ECE or equivalent

• Proven experience with Quantum Linear Solvers and Quantum Singular Value Transform (QSVT)-based quantum algorithms

• Proven experience with fault-tolerant quantum computing and quantum resource estimation

• Strong publication record

• Proficiency in at least one mainstream programming language such as C, C++, or Python

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of quantum circuit optimization techniques and quantum synthesis

• Experience with functional programming languages

• Experience with quantum programming languages
